My husband pianist/composer Erik van der Luijt defined a super simple recipe for it. Which is extraordinary for something as complex as improvisation. And here I’ll share it with you. It comes recommended by iRealPro, so no worries about it effectiveness :)

And it’s not just a recipe for improvisation. It applies to virtually everything artistic: compositions, performances, setlists, the band, engaging your audience. Even your clothes!
